Opening Ceremony of National Beach Soccer Championship 2022: An Exciting Start
This afternoon (April 22), the 2022 National Beach Soccer Championship officially opened at Sam Son beach soccer field, Thanh Hoa. After a year of interruption by the Covid-19 epidemic, the tournament marked the return with an exciting environment.
The delegation, on behalf of VFF leaders, there were Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan – Member of the Executive Committee, Head of the VFF Grassroots Football Committee, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau – VFF Deputy General Secretary, Head of the Organizing Committee; On the local side, there were Mr. Nguyen Duy Tu – Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Le Trung Son – Permanent Deputy Secretary of Sam Son City Party Committee, Mr. Bui Quoc Dat – Member of the Standing Committee City Party Committee, Sam Son City PCT, Mr. Nguyen Trong Thau – Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Football Federation; accessors, referees, organizing committee members, participating teams, medias, and a large audience of beach football fans.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau – VFF Deputy General Secretary, Head of the Organizing Committee, on behalf of VFF and the Organizing Committee, thanked the support and facilitation of the Provincial People’s Committee, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Thanh Hoa, Sam Son city, Thanh Hoa Football Federation, local agencies and departments for the organization of the Tournament. Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau emphasized, although there are still many difficulties, but through 12 times of organization, the National Beach Soccer Championship has contributed to creating a playground for exchanges between teams, creating opportunities for players to compete against each other. At the same time, thereby bringing Vietnamese beach soccer to integrate with the general development of this sport in the international arena.
Participating in the 2022 National Beach Soccer Tournament, there are 4 teams including: Chinh Chien Sam Son, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and PTSC Thanh Hoa, competing in two round-robin to calculate the ranking points from 1st to 4th.
The tournament takes place from April 22 to April 29 at the beach soccer field of Sam Son city, Thanh Hoa.
In the 2020 season, Da Nang defeated Khanh Hoa 2-1 in the final to be crowned the champion. This year, Da Nang and Khanh Hoa continue to be evaluated as two candidates competing for the No. 1 position. The fact has also shown the outstanding strength of these two teams in the opening series. Khanh Hoa easily overcame Chinh Chien Sam Son with a score of 4-1 while Da Nang won 5-3 against PTSC Thanh Hoa.
