WOMEN'S FUTSAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Opening ceremony of the 2025 National Women’s Futsal Championship

On the afternoon of December 29, the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Women’s Futsal Championship took place at the Futsal Club Gymnasium in Chánh Hưng Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Trần Anh Tú – Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Vũ – Vice President of the VFF, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú – General Secretary of the VFF, Mr. Phạm Anh Dũng – Member of the VFF Referees Committee, and Mr. Trần Quốc Khánh – Director of Ho Chi Minh City Sports Joint Stock Company.

Speaking on behalf of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) at the opening ceremony, VFF General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú highlighted the remarkable achievements of Vietnamese women’s futsal in recent years, particularly the national women’s futsal team’s participation in the AFC Women’s Futsal Championship 2025 in May and their outstanding gold-medal triumph at the 33rd SEA Games. These successes, he noted, have affirmed the positive impact of the organisation, training and development of domestic competitions, including the National Women’s Futsal Championship.

“On behalf of the Vietnam Football Federation and the Organising Committee, I would like to sincerely thank the close coordination, active participation and strong sense of responsibility shown by the clubs, teams, as well as the supervisors and referees. All of these contributions will play an important role in the overall success of the tournament. The VFF and the Organising Committee would also like to express our gratitude to Ho Chi Minh City Sports Joint Stock Company – the host of the tournament; the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports; and the Chánh Hưng Ward Cultural and Sports Service Provision Centre for their cooperation in ensuring that the 2025 National Women’s Futsal Championship is organised as scheduled. We also extend our sincere thanks to fans and media organisations for their interest and continued support of the tournament and the development of Vietnamese women’s futsal,” said Nguyễn Văn Phú.

This year’s tournament features four teams: hosts Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City, and Phong Phu Ha Nam. Matches will take place from December 29, 2025 to January 8, 2026. The four teams will compete in a double round-robin format at a centralized venue, with points determining final standings from first to fourth place.

To better serve fans, the VFF will livestream selected matches on the VFF Channel on YouTube. The tournament is expected to deliver exciting encounters and contribute to the continued development of women’s futsal in Vietnam.
