Opening Ceremony of the Final Round of the National U21 Football Championship 2025 at Ba Ria Stadium
Attending the opening ceremony and watching the opening match were Mr. Nguyễn Minh Châu – Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation and Head of the Organizing Committee, and Ms. Trần Thị Thu Hiền – Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyễn Minh Châu – Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation – stated: “The National U21 Football Championship is always considered a stage where young players demonstrate their bravery, maturity, and desire to prove themselves. It serves as an important bridge between youth development and professional football.
In recent years, the Vietnam Football Federation has continuously strived to innovate the competition format and improve the organization of youth tournaments to create a professional, fair, and effective playing environment for the comprehensive development of players.
On behalf of the VFF and the Organizing Committee, I would like to express our sincere thanks for the cooperation and support of local authorities and participating units. I also thank the fans, media, and press agencies for their interest and companionship, which contribute to spreading the spirit of sportsmanship and building an increasingly vibrant environment for youth football.”
This year’s tournament brings together 12 outstanding youth teams, competing from July 19 to 31 across three stadiums: Bà Rịa, Long Tâm, and Tân Hưng. The participating teams are: Hà Nội, Thể Công Viettel, PVF, Sông Lam Nghệ An, SHB Đà Nẵng, LPBank HAGL I, Đồng Tháp, Hồ Chí Minh City, Tây Ninh, Đắk Lắk, PVF CAND, and the host team Ho Chi Minh City FC.
Right after the opening ceremony, the opening match between U21 Ho Chi Minh City and U21 Song Lam Nghe An took place, drawing enthusiastic support from both the spectators at the stadium and television viewers.
