Opening ceremony of the National U19 Football Championship Finals – Modern Cup 2025/26
On the afternoon of January 14, at the PVF Youth Football Training Center in Hung Yen, the opening ceremony and the first matches of the Finals of the National U19 Football Championship – Modern Cup 2025/26 took place.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Hoang Van Thiep, Deputy Director of the Hung Yen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi, Standing Member of the VFF Executive Committee; and Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau, VFF Deputy General Secretary. Representing the tournament’s main sponsor was Mr. Nguyen Duc Manh, representative of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company.
The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Mai The Hung, Director of External Affairs of Dong Luc Joint Stock Company, along with leaders of the participating teams, members of the press and television, as well as enthusiastic support from spectators and football fans.
In his opening remarks to declare the tournament officially underway, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau, VFF Deputy General Secretary, expressed his sincere thanks and high appreciation for the effective contributions of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company to Vietnamese football in general and to the tournament in particular. This cooperation is a clear testament to the close and effective partnership between the VFF and Acecook Vietnam, united by a shared goal of fostering the professional and sustainable development of Vietnamese youth football.
“We believe that with the thorough preparation of the Organizing Committee, the active support of the sponsor, and the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship demonstrated by the teams, the Finals of the National U19 Football Championship – Modern Cup 2025/26 will offer fans exciting matches of high professional quality, thereby spreading the positive values of Vietnamese football. The Finals of the National U19 Football Championship – Modern Cup 2025/26 take place from January 14 to January 27, 2026 at the PVF Football Training Center, featuring 12 teams: The Cong Viettel I, PVF, PVF CAND (hosts), Hanoi, SLNA, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, LPBank HAGL, Ho Chi Minh City, SHB Da Nang, Dak Lak, CA. Ho Chi Minh City, and Dong Thap. At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee conducted the group draw. Accordingly, the 12 teams were divided into three groups, competing in a single round-robin format to determine the standings. The top two teams from each group and the two best third-placed teams among the three groups will advance to the quarterfinals.
