Opening training course on referee assessors and referees for the 2023/24 national professional football tournament in the Northern region
On the afternoon of October 9, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation, the opening ceremony of the training program for referee assessors and referees of national professional football tournaments in the 2023/24 season in the Northern region took place.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation, Mr. Nguyen Minh Ngoc – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of VPF Company, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2023/24 national professional football tournaments; Mr. Dang Thanh Ha – Member of the Executive Committee, Head of the VFF Arbitration Committee along with assessors and referees attended the training course.
Speaking at the opening of the training course, General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi emphasized: “For matches to have good results, good preparation is needed in many aspects.” On behalf of VFF, General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi praised all assessors and referees for completing their tasks in the 2023 season.
With the best efforts and strict assignments of the Arbitration Committee, the referees and assessors have done their duties well in most matches. At V.League 2023, the tournament Organizing Committee applied VAR for 5 matches, promptly trained 18 referees, supervised participation in VAR operation classes and was recognized by FIFA. The referees tried their best to complete their duties despite difficult matches. The role of the fourth referee and the referee team operating in the VAR room was also emphasized by General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi.
General Secretary of the VFF Duong Nghiep Khoi shared that the leaders of the VFF always monitor and provide timely instructions to the organizers to resolve arising problems. “The bright spot that I evaluate in the referees is that the whole team cooperates well and completes the task together. The results of last season’s matches truly reflect the true strength of the teams…”, General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi said.
On behalf of VFF, General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi wished the assessors and referees to accumulate more lessons and knowledge through the training class, thereby having good preparation towards the 2023/24 Vietnam professional football tournament.
According to the plan, the assessors and referees training course in the Northern region will take place from October 9-13, of which on the morning of October 10, the physical fitness test will take place at Hang Day Stadium. In addition, the training course focuses on updating the new season’s competition rules: Offside rule, Handball foul, Penalty… as well as conducting tests.
