Dr.Tran Quoc Tuan nominated FIFA Futsal member

Former General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Tran Quoc Tuan, has been appointed as a member of the FIFA Futsal Committee.

With this nomination, Tuan becomes the first Vietnamese person to work for an agency of FIFA, the world’s highest ranking football governing body.

He is currently a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Committee as well as vice head of AFC Futsal. Tuan also holds several positions in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), including membership of the AFF Council, AFF Emergency Affairs Committee and AFF Competing Board.

Vietnamese futsal has seen remarkable progress in the last few years despite its late beginnings. Tuan’s FIFA appointment will bring many benefits for futsal in the country, especially for gaining experience and calling for support from FIFA for long –term development of the sport.
