Dr.Tran Quoc Tuan withdraws from the position of VFF General Secretary

After the executive committee meeting of Vietnam Football Federation (22/12/2012), General Secretary Tran Quoc Tuan still continue discussions with the Standing Committee & Executive Committee about his opinions reservation. However the executive committee highly trusts and appreciates General Secretary Tran Quoc Tuan’s dedication through his assignment in VFF, they still decide to respect the General Secretary Tran Quoc Tuan personal decision when he withdraws from the position of VFF General Secretary.

Dr. Tran Quoc Tuan was elected to hold the position of VFF General Secretary in the 5th VFF congress (2005). After the 6th congress, Dr. Tran Quoc Tuan continues to be appointed by chairman to hold this position. At the moment, Dr. Tran Quoc Tuan is member of AFC Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of AFC Futsal Committee & AFC Social Responsibility. At the Asean Football Federation (AFF), Dr. Tran is member of AFF Council, AFF Emergency Committee and Competition Committee. Dr. Tran Quoc Tuan is also the first Vietnamese representative to attend AFC Executive committee since Vietnamparticipates in this football organization.
