The 4th International U19 Football Thanhnien Tournament 2022 Press Conference
On the morning of Aug 04, at the Dai Nam Tourist Complex (Binh Duong Province), the press conference of the 4th International U19 Football Thanhnien Tournament 2022 was held.
The delegation included Mr. Bui Huu Toan – Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the province’s Propaganda Committee; Mr. Cao Van Chong- Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vice President of Vietnam Football Federation; Mr. Nguyen Cong Khe – Chairman of Thanh Nien Media Group; Mr. Vu Duc Thanh – President of Binh Duong Football Association; Mr. Ho Hong Thach – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex Binh Duong Football Club Joint Stock Company; Mr. Vo Kim Thanh-Deputy General Director of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company, along with representatives of departments, agencies, Organizing Committee, referee force, coaching assistants of 04 participating teams and press.
The 4th International U19 Football Thanhnien Tournament 2022 kicks off tomorrow (August 5) at Binh Duong Stadium with the participation of the top 4 teams in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, and the host Vietnam. The tournament is considered a valuable opportunity for head coach Dinh The Nam to test and review the formation to prepare for the AFC U20 Asian Cup 2023 Qualifier, which will take place next September.
Speaking at the press conference before the tournament, head coach Dinh The Nam said: “U19 Vietnam has consulted with VFF, and has added and replaced 9 players to attend the tournament, with two goals: for new players to experience as well as test the new play-style of the whole team. In every tournament, every team needs achievements because they show the ability of the players, and the whole team. We will try to play to have good performances that contribute to the success of the tournament.”
According to the schedule, U19 Vietnam will play the opening match against U19 Myanmar at 6:30 PM on Aug 5, then meet U19 Malaysia at 6:30p.m on Aug 7, and U19 Thailand at 6:30p.m on August 9. The top two teams will compete for the final at 6:30 pm on August 11, while the remaining two teams will compete for third place at 3:30 pm on the same day.
All matches are broadcasted on FPT Play, YouTube Sports 360 of Thanh Nien Newspaper. Binh Duong Stadium is also open to welcome fans to cheer for U19 Vietnam and other teams.
