Previously, based on initial assessments, Hồ Tấn Tài was diagnosed with a sprained knee ligament, but it was not a complete tear, and he was expected to rest for 6 to 8 weeks to recover. However, after returning to Vietnam following the ASEAN Cup 2024 with the national team, Hồ Tấn Tài underwent further medical imaging in Ho Chi Minh City. According to the doctors’ recommendations, Tấn Tài needed to undergo surgery to reconstruct his anterior cruciate ligament to ensure the best possible recovery.

After undergoing ligament reconstruction surgery, Tấn Tài will continue his rehabilitation under the support of the national team’s medical staff. It is expected that Tấn Tài will need about 6 to 8 months to fully recover and be able to resume training and playing.

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation and the national team, Vice President Trần Anh Tú encouraged and motivated player Hồ Tấn Tài. He assured that the leadership of the Vietnam Football Federation is always attentive to and monitoring the progress of Hồ Tấn Tài’s recovery, and will provide the best support to help him recover quickly and return to the field to continue contributing to both his club and the national team.
