VFF’s President Mr Tran Quoc Tuan, meets with the president of LALIGA, Mr Javier Tebas, in Madrid
Madrid, April 15, 2024.- A delegation from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) embarked on a five-day visit to the central headquarters of LALIGA in Madrid at the end of last week, as part of the MoU established between the two entities at the beginning of the 2023/24 season.
During their stay in the capital of Spain, the president of VFF,Mr Tran Quoc Tuan, met with the president of LALIGA, MrJavier Tebas. Additionally, the Vietnamese delegation has had the opportunity to participate in a 360º immersion in the operation and the different projects that LALIGA has today,allowing for a constructive exchange of ideas and practices in the football field: internationalization, LALIGA ACADEMY for the promotion of grassroots football, support for women’s football, the technological subsidiary Sportian, etcetera. They were also able to visit several LALIGA clubs, the ESC LALIGA & NBA Centre and the LEGENDS experience.
This visit represents a significant milestone within the framework of the collaboration agreement, which links both institutions until June 2026. One of the first actions carried out under this MOU was held in January with a course conducted in Hanoi for three days by LALIGA ACADEMY coaches for 41 Vietnamese trainers from youth football clubs/ training centers across the country.
The MoU seeks both organisations to collaborate in the exchange of expertise, with the aim of growing professional and grassroots football in Vietnam, as well as the national teams, plus developing various sports training projects. Both parties are committed to keep strengthening the ties between the two nations and the two institutions.
On the visit to Madrid, with the connection of Laliga, VFF’s President Tran Quoc Tuan and the Vietnam Football Federation delegation paid a courtesy visit and met with Mr. Fernando Molinero – General Director of the Spanish Supreme Sports Council (CSD), at the same time, visited Spain’s top sports training center, where athletes are increasing their training and preparing for the upcoming Paris Olympics. Mr. Fernando Molinero highly appreciated the cooperation of VFF and LaLiga, hoping that through football, we will develop cooperation with Vietnamese sports in the coming time.
