The U17 national women’s team gathers for the first period in 2023, preparing for the 2024 AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup
From January 11 to January 17, the U17 national women’s team gathered for the first period in 2023 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.
Under the guidance of Coach Ijiri Akira, 30 young athletes were selected from the Hanoi Sports Center, Ha Nam Sports Center, District 1 – Ho Chi Minh City, and Thai Nguyen Sports Center, gathered on the morning of Jan 11.
As planned, in nearly a week of gathering at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, the coaching staff spent two sessions (on the afternoon of January 11 and the morning of January 12) to check the fitness of all players.
After reviewing the force and having the physical parameters of each player, coach Akira and his assistants will let the players switch to the individual technical test, therefore having an overall assessment. The first training period of the U17 national women team in 2023 will last for 6 days, ending on January 17 for the players to come back and celebrate the Lunar New Year with their families.
It is expected that the U17 national women’s team will soon gather again after the Lunar New Year to continue preparing to attend the 2024 2024 AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup.
