The VFF’s First Instance Body convened to decide on granting licenses to clubs participating in the 2026/27 National Championship season
On the afternoon of May 8, 2026, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the VFF’s First Instance Body convened to decide on granting licenses to clubs participating in the 2026/27 National Championship season.

Representing the leadership of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) at the meeting was Mr. Tran Anh Tu, Vice President. The Licensing Committee included Associate Professor Dr. Pham Ngoc Vien – Head of the Licensing Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi My Dung – Deputy Head of the Licensing Committee; Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – Member of the Licensing Committee; and Mr. Nguyen Duy Quang – Member of the Licensing Committee (attending online). The Licensing Appeals Body consisted of Mr. Le Dang Tung – Head of the Appeals Body; Mr. Nguyen Hai Huong – Deputy Head of the Licensing Appeals Body; Mr. Nguyen Van Cong; and Mr. Nguyen Truong Minh – Members of the Licensing Appeals Body. Representing the VFF General Secretariat was Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Deputy General Secretary and Head of the Licensing Administration Department. The meeting was also attended by representatives of VPF leadership and the VFF Licensing Administration Department.
At this meeting, members of the Licensing Committee made decisions regarding the granting of licenses to clubs participating in the 2026/27 National Championship season. Accordingly, the Licensing Committee agreed as follows:
- To grant licenses to 12 clubs participating in the 2026/27 National Championship season, including: Becamex Ho Chi Minh City Football Club; Cong An Ha Noi Football Club; Cong An Ho Chi Minh City Football Club; Ha Noi Football Club; Hong Linh Ha Tinh Football Club; Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club; Nam Dinh Football Club; Ninh Binh Football Club; PVF-CAND Football Club; Song Lam Nghe An Football Club; SHB Da Nang Football Club; and The Cong – Viettel Football Club.
- To grant conditional licenses to four clubs participating in the 2026/27 National Championship season, including: Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Football Club; Bac Ninh Football Club; Hai Phong Football Club; and Dong A Thanh Hoa Football Club.
– Regarding Hai Phong Football Club and Dong A Thanh Hoa Football Club, no later than May 22, 2026, both clubs must submit additional documents to fulfill the financial and administrative personnel criteria. After the above deadline, if the clubs fail to complete the required documentation, their licenses will be revoked by the Licensing Committee.
