The Vietnam women’s futsal team is training in the first session of 2024.
On June 19th, at the Thái Sơn Nam Sports Hall in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam women’s futsal team officially began their first training session, preparing for their participation in an international friendly tournament in China next July.
In this training camp, the Vietnam women’s futsal team is being led by Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang. Regarding this training period, Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang shared that the coaching staff’s goal during this time is to build and refine new tactics and playing styles for the entire team.
In previous training camps, the women’s futsal team selected players partly from those who also play 11-a-side football, thus diversifying the player pool. Currently, all players are focused on the second leg of the National Women’s Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup 2024, so the core group consists of players from the Thai Son Nam women’s futsal team in Ho Chi Minh City. However, the head coach of the Vietnam women’s futsal team noted that a favorable aspect is that these futsal players have been consistently training, which minimizes the time needed to improve their physical fitness foundation. Therefore, he has more time to focus on tactical training for the whole team.
According to the plan, the Vietnam women’s futsal team will have 3 weeks of training before heading to China to participate in the international friendly tournament. During their training at the Thái Sơn Nam Sports Hall in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City, the team is scheduled to play 2 carefully planned friendly matches. This presents an opportunity for Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang to experiment with the lineup, assess the players’ capabilities, and test tactical strategies.
