The Vietnamese women’s futsal team won the championship at the international friendly tournament in Thailand
After four matches in the international friendly tournament, the Vietnamese women’s futsal team remained unbeaten with a record of three wins and one draw, claiming the championship on Thailand’s home ground.
In the final match of the NSDF Women’s Futsal Championship 2024 (Thailand) held today (September 28), the Vietnamese women’s futsal team faced a decisive match for the championship.
In the first half, the Vietnamese team broke the deadlock with an own goal by Jiraprapa. Earlier, captain Thanh Hằng made a run down the right flank and delivered a cross that led to the own goal.
Following that, the home team from Thailand continually pressured the Vietnamese goal, but the enthusiasm and determination of Coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng’s players repeatedly saved the ball from crossing the goal line.
However, in the 15th minute, the efforts of the Thai players were rewarded with a precise volley from Sangrawee outside the box from the left side.
In the 17th minute, the Vietnamese team had a chance to regain the lead when awarded a 10-meter penalty due to Thailand’s sixth foul. Unfortunately, captain Thanh Hằng’s shot hit the post.
