Tiger Beer have announced the withdrawal of their title sponsorship of the ASEAN Football Championship (Tiger Cup) as the company wants to concentrate on more world class sporting events.
The beer-maker has been sponsoring the tournament since 1996.
Worawi Makudi, a member of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF)”s management and finance commission, confirmed to a Thai newspaper that Tiger had not signed a new contract for next year”s event.
⬝It is still too early for any confirmation regarding the sponsors,⬝ Makudi said.
The Tiger Cup, won by Singapore last year, had become the signature event in the region with a huge following.
