HCMC government supports VA move

Vice-Chairperson of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha has expressed her support for football development through the Vision Vietnam project at a meeting with the visiting AFC delegation on Tuesday.

Ha stated that Ho Chi Minh was a football loving city and emphasised the importance of structured development programmes for grassroots and youth players. She also stressed the importance of training of administrators, coaches and referees. 

Ha highly appreciated the attention of AFC to the football development of Ho Chi Minh City through the Vision project. She has committed to extend more support and assistance to the project implementation in this southern Vietnamese city. 

AFC Director of Vision Asia, Brendan Menton, thanked Ha and the city government for their interest and support for the Vision Vietnam project in Ho Chi Minh City. He committed that the project would provide the required training courses and would also assist the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation in developing the clubs and competitions. 

Ha requested HCMCFF to brief her on the Vision Vietnam plan for Ho Chi Minh City when it has been finalised and agreed between AFC and HCMCFF.
