VFF and FPT Play cooperate on copyrights for the national football team match
On June 7, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and FPT Television Company Limited (FPT Play), a member of Telecommunication Joint Stock Company (FPT Telecom), officially cooperated and announced the copyrights of matches with the participation of the National Team for 4 years, from 2023 to 2027.

Not only marking a new milestone in the effort to find and mobilize the maximum socialization resources for football, this event also reaffirms the role of FPT Play as a leader in the field of media copyright, contributing to the growth of the National Team.
Accordingly, all international matches with the participating and competing of national team, held in Vietnam, which the copyrights are owned by the VFF, will be produced and reported by FPT Play on infrastructures: terrestrial, cable, satellite, IPTV, Internet, mobile, public projection and exploitation on social networks…
Expressing the confidence in the good cooperation relationship between the two sides, Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation affirmed: “With the advantage of being the unit that simultaneously holds the broadcasting rights of the two sides. In recent years, FPT Play has been a reliable partner with full potential and experience in implementing the above tasks. I believe VFF will join FPT Play in bringing special football experiences to fans across the country in the near future.”
With many matches to be held in Vietnam each year, domestic audiences will have the opportunity to watch the matches of the Vietnam National Men’s Football Team, the Vietnam National Olympic Men’s Football Team. Vietnam national U23 men’s football team and Vietnam national U22 men’s football team for 4 consecutive years from 2023 to 2027 on FPT Play as well as on other TV channels and application platforms.

In the immediate future, the VFF has confirmed with FPT Play the matches within the framework of the first year of cooperation. Right in June, FPT Play will broadcast live the friendly match between Vietnam and Hong Kong (China) from Lach Tray Stadium, Hai Phong on June 15, and the match between Vietnam and Syria. from Thien Truong Stadium, Nam Dinh on June 20. And in September, 3 matches of Vietnam U23 team in the 2024 AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifier will also be sent to fans by FPT Play on all platforms.
A representative of FPT Play also said that they is ready to negotiate and make every effort to create all conditions for sharing rights related to the copyright of matches with the participation of the Vietnamese national team to all media in the country.
FPT Play is currently negotiating with broadcasters in Vietnam to broadcast the matches of the national team, in order to best serve the needs of fans across the country.
