VFF and Sun Group cooperate to develop Vietnamese football
On the morning of February 23 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Football Federation and Sun Group signed a cooperation agreement to accompany the development of Vietnamese football, from February 1, 2023 to January 31, 2026.

Accordingly, the Sun World brand of Sun Group has become one of the official partners of the Vietnamese team, with many activities accompanying the VFF and the national football team. The event marked a milestone in bringing the cooperation relationship between Sun World brand in particular, Sun Group in general and VFF to new success.
Attending the event were Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong – Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen – Deputy General Director of Vietnam Sport Adminstration; Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – VFF President; Mr. Tran Anh Tu – VFF Vice President; Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien – VFF Vice President, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu – VFF Vice President, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi – Standing member of the VFF Executive Committee, members of the VFF Executive Committee, the General Secretariat and the VFF’s functional departments. On the side of Sun Group, there were Mr. Dang Minh Truong – Member of the Founding Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group and the leaders.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Minh Truong – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group, said: “As a leading enterprise in social activities, for the community, always carries the desire to contribute to the development of the community. For the common development of the country, raising the national status, Sun Group is very interested in the desire to reach the international level of those who are contributing day and night to the development of Vietnamese football. According to Mr. Dang Minh Truong, VFF’s desire to reach international level in the field of sports is similar to the vision of “bringing Vietnam to the world” in investment fields of Sun Group, especially tourism.
Expressing his confidence in the good cooperation relationship between the two sides, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – VFF President affirmed: “The decision of Sun Group to accompany the national football team Vietnam at this time is really a source of encouragement and great encouragement to the VFF, the coaching staff and the players of the teams, thereby contributing to the team’s best conditions, most convenient for the process of preparing and competing in the international arena. According to the 2023 plan, the national team will focus on training several times a year to prepare for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers in November 2023. Regarding the preparation of the national team, it is expected that on February 27, the VFF will hold a ceremony to announce the head coach of the national men’s football team.
Over the years, Sun Group has had many practical activities to encourage and cheer the national football team after hard competitions because of the Vietnamese spirit, such as giving a high-class vacation for the Vietnamese men’s and women’s football SEA Games team; award money and vacations at the 5-star JW Marriott Phu Quoc resort.
