VFF is closely monitoring the recovery process of Xuân Sơn and Tấn Tài following their surgeries
On the morning of March 4th, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Vinmec Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center held a consultation and specialist meeting regarding the injury status of Nguyen Xuan Son and Ho Tan Tai. They also assessed the recovery process of the two players after their surgeries in order to develop an effective treatment plan for the next phase of their rehabilitation.
Attending the specialized consultation and injury treatment for Xuân Sơn and Tấn Tài, from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) were Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú – General Secretary, Deputy Head of the Medical Committee of VFF, and the staff from the VFF Sports Medicine Department. From the Vinmec Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center, there were Prof. Dr. Trần Trung Dũng – Director of the Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at Vinmec, Head of the VFF Medical Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Văn Giang – Director of the Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology Department at Vinmec Healthcare System; and the sports medicine doctors at Vinmec, who are directly involved in the treatment of national team members injured during training and matches.
According to the assessment, Xuân Sơn’s current condition is very promising. The striker is able to move lightly and is recovering actively with two training sessions per day, focusing on maintaining weight, muscle strength, and stimulating faster bone healing. Meanwhile, Tấn Tài has also been able to move independently and do recovery exercises without the need for crutches. However, injuries related to ligaments are more challenging to treat and recover from compared to bone fractures, and they require a comprehensive approach, with close monitoring during and after surgery.
According to the plan, striker Nguyen Xuan Son will continue his rehabilitation treatment at the Vinmec Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center, with exercises designed to be similar to those at the club. The weight load will be gradually increased, in line with the recovery progress, ensuring that muscle strength is maintained throughout the treatment phase while also laying a solid foundation for a stronger comeback after the injury.
Regarding Ho Tan Tai, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has agreed with the opinion of Becamex Bình Dương Football Club to respect the player’s personal wish to choose a medical facility in Ho Chi Minh City for his rehabilitation. Ho Tan Tai’s recovery progress will also be continuously monitored to ensure timely and optimal solutions for his treatment.
