VFF leaders attended the 36th AFC Congress in 2026, held in Vancouver
Today (April 29th, Vietnam time), in the coastal city of Vancouver (Canada), the 36th AFC Congress of 2026 officially took place, attracting the attention of member federations across the continent. Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn, FIFA Disciplinary Committee Member and President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), attended the Congress as a Standing Member of the AFC Executive Committee.

Held at the Vancouver Conference Center, the 36th AFC Congress will vote to approve the audited financial report and the auditor’s report for 2025—a year in which AFC successfully organized 16 tournaments, including comprehensively reformed club competitions with groundbreaking changes.
Additionally, AFC member federations, participating both in person and online, will approve the AFC budget for 2027 and 2028. This is seen as a strategic shift focusing on high-impact investments to realize AFC’s ambitious vision and development mission.
During the Congress, delegates will also receive comprehensive updates on AFC’s key programs in education, development, technical fields, and refereeing. AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa will emphasize the resilience and perseverance of member federations during a challenging year that nonetheless saw many important milestones achieved.
