VFF President Le Khanh Hai meets, encourages, and assigns the missions for national teams
On the morning of Aug 24, VFF President Le Khanh Hai had a meeting to encourage and assign the missions for national teams before traveling to join the important international competition in 2021. Accompany with VFF Vice Permanent President Tran Quoc Tuan and Member of the VFF Executive Committee Tran Anh Tu.
At this moment, there are 4 teams who have gathered and practiced forward to the upcoming missions. In which, Men’s national team is preparing for the FIFA World Cup 2022 3rd Asian Qualifier, Women’s national team is preparing for AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022 Qualifier, futsal’s national team is forwarding to the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2022, and U22 team prepares for the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2022.
VFF President Le Khanh Hai stated that in the difficult period of the COVID-19 pandemic, VFF and relevant authorities, as well as the clubs, really efforted to organise the training camp for the teams. “Even facing many issues, VFF has been trying to set the best conditions for the teams. The results in upcoming competitions will be the evaluation for the preparation and development of the teams. The government and fans are very expecting on the performance of the teams. In football, predict is impossible, however, we have to show our competitive spirit and never give up. That is the responsibility while playing as a national player”.
On behalf of VFF, Mr. Le Khanh Hai wishes the teams will have the best result in the first journey in Saudi Arabia. The match is on the same day as Vietnam’s Independence Day, therefore a good result will have a big meaning for our country.
VFF President Le Khanh Hai also expects the futsal team in the second time joining in the FIFA Futsal World Cup. For the women’s team, Mr. Le Khanh Hai encourages the team of head coach Mai Duc Chung to continue working hard to qualifier for the Asian Cup 2022, forward to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.
On behalf of the national teams, captain Que Ngoc Hai, Huynh Nhu, and Tran Van Vu thanked the support of VFF during these times and promised to keep practice and unity to get over the challenges and play with the Vietnamese spirit.
According to the plan, tonight (Aug 24), the Futsal team will travel to Spain for the last preparation step. VFF is planing for the women team to come earlier and get familiar with the condition in Tajikistan.
On the U22 team side, VFF is planing for the team to have an overseas training camp before the U23 Asian Cup 2022. During the training period, VFF Vice Permanent President Tran Quoc Tuan also met and assigned the missions for the team.
