VFF President sends the condolences to the family of player Vo Minh Hieu and the Quang Nam Youth Football Team
On June 26, the President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa sent a letter to the President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan expressing his grief and he sent his deep condolences to the family of player Vo Minh Hieu and Quang Nam Youth Club.
In a letter to Vietnam Football Federation President Tran Quoc Tuan, AFC President Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa expressed: “I am deeply saddened and shocked to receive information about a tragic traffic accident involving the Quang Nam Youth football team, when the team was on their way back from a match in Vietnam’s football national championship – Division 2. The saddest thing is that the player Vo Minh Hieu is no more. I would like to send my deepest condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Vo Minh Hieu. I hope all those injured make a full recovery soon.”
This morning, Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – General Secretary of the VFF offer condolences and encouragement to the family of player Vo Minh Hieu and say goodbye to player Vo Minh Hieu to his final resting place.
On behalf of the VFF, General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi gave an amount of VND 50 million to support the family of player Vo Minh Hieu as well as visiting and giving money to support two players and fans in distress who are being treatmented at the hospital.
* Vo Minh Hieu was born in 2002, is a player on the Quang Nam Youth payroll playing in the 2023 National Second Division football tournament. On the way from Kon Tum to Tam Ky, a car carrying the Quang Nam Youth team met accident while going down Vi O Lac pass (in the territory of Ba To district, Quang Ngai province) caused Vo Minh Hieu to die. This is a great loss for the team and especially the family of player Vo Minh Hieu.
* Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the VFF, sent his deep condolences to the entire team, especially the family of player Vo Minh Hieu, for the loss and trauma in the team’s traffic accident.
In his letter of condolence, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan expressed: “On behalf of VFF Executive Committee, I would like to send my deepest sympathies and most sincere condolences to the family of the player in the accident; hope the family of the deceased player soon overcome this painful moment; Hope the injured players and fans recover soon to return to football.
The VFF calls on all coaches, football players in Vietnam in general and the teams participating in the National Championship Second Division 2023 to look towards the family of player Vo Minh Hieu, standing with them in this moment. this difficulty and share and support.
