VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan visited and worked with the DFB President
On the afternoon of June 26 (Vietnam time), the President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan had a visit and worked with the President of the German Football Federation. Also attending were members of the VFF delegation and representatives of DFB functional departments.
At the meeting with the senior leaders of the DFB, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the Executive Committee, thanked Mr. Bernd Neuendorf for the most favorable conditions for the Vietnam women’s team during the training period in Germany, especially the very successful friendly match between the German women’s team and the Vietnam women’s team on June 24. The match attracted the attention and cheers of a large number of fans of the host country and the Vietnam community living and working in Germany, and made an important contribution to the preparation for both teams coming to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
DFB President Bernd Neuendorf said he was impressed by the great progress of the Vietnam women’s team and wished coach Mai Duc Chung’s team a good performance in the first time participating in the world arena.
VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan also thanked the DFB for paying special attention to the development of Vietnamese football through exchange programs at team and club levels, in which Vietnamese fans has the opportunity to directly witness the performance from the Eintracht Frankfurt club or most recently the Borussia Dortmund club during a tour in Vietnam. Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan highly appreciated the project “Vietnamese young football talent in Germany”, with the cooperation of the Vietnam Football Federation, Next Media and Bundesliga, thereby creating opportunities for young players of Vietnamese football are trained and competed to improve their level in the world’s leading professional football environment such as Germany.
Leaders of the two national football federations openly exchanged information on operational plans and agreed on strengthening the cooperation relationship in the coming time to jointly develop football, included some important areas of football such as youth training, women’s football, coach training, sports medicine, training camps for national teams…
It is known that the DFB is aiming to co-host the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup finals with Belgium and the Netherlands, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan expressed that with the experience of organizing major tournaments along with the spacious and modern quality of the world’s leading football development, the German completely meets the standards to become the co-host of the most attractive tournament on the planet of women’s football.
