VFF signed a cooperation agreement with Football Association of Malaysia
On the afternoon of December 26, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the VFF and the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) took place. The two federations focus on exchange and referee development, team exchange and youth football development activities.
Attending and signing the cooperation agreement, on the VFF’s side, there were Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President, Nguyen Xuan Vu – Vice President, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi – Standing Member of the Executive Committee; Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – General Secretary. On the FAM side, there were Mr. Datuk Wora Mohd Yusoff Haji Mahadi – Vice President; Sivasundaram Sithamparam Pillai – Vice President; Noor Azman Bin Hj Rahman – General Secretary.
The signing of an agreement between VFF and FAM aims to strengthen the close relationship between the two federations for mutual benefits and for the development and success of football in each country. Accordingly, the two federations agreed to exchange and cooperate in various fields, including the exchange and development of referees, team exchanges and youth football development activities.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran Anh Tu – VFF Vice President said: “In recent years, the relationship between Vietnamese football and the countries of Southeast Asia, including Malaysian football, has seen good developments, which is shown through football exchange events, sending teams of all ages to participate in international youth tournaments as well as through the introduction and appointment of good referees to officiate at important matches of Vietnam League. Therefore, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between VFF and FAM is considered an important event in the relationship between the VFF and FAM, contributing to create positive impacts on Vietnam and Malaysia football by specific cooperation programs, for the common benefit of the development of football of the two countries.
On behalf of FAM leaders, Mr. Sivasundaram Sithamparam Pillai – Vice President said: “The cooperation between FAM and VFF not only strengthens the relationship between the two federations but also open the opportunities to develop referees and football players. I believe that this relationship will benefit the two national football federations in the future. Besides, we also aim to develop youth football, professional football and referees. The goal of FAM is to build a higher quality of arbitration in the near future. I believe that cooperating with VFF will help achieve that goal.”
The signing of the cooperation agreement between the two federations hopes to bring positive results in professional work, especially in sharing experience in managing and operating national professional football leagues…
VFF also hopes that the results gained from this cooperation agreement will be extended to other areas in the football development strategy between the two federations, with a focus on youth football, professional football and promotion of the resources for football development activities.
