VFF summarizes the year 2020, determined to complete the mission of 2021
On the morning of Dec 29, VFF holds the year-end ceremony and forward to the key mission in 2021.
The delegation included Mr. Lê Khánh Hải – Vice Chairman of the office of President, VFF President; Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn – VFF Vice Permanent President; Mr. Cao Văn Chóng – VFF Vice President; Mr. Lê Văn Thành – VFF Vice President; Mr. Lê Hoài Anh – General Secretary, and Deputy General Secretaries; heads of the function departments; and staff.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the VFF General Secretary Department, Mr. Lê Hoài Anh reported the activities of Vietnamese Football in 2020. Therefore, even facing many difficulties due to the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic, under the guidance of the Executive Committee, after the success in the prevention of the pandemic, Vietnamese Football was come back and step by step complete the plan of 2020.
In 2020, even the international tournaments were postponed, the national teams could still gather to prepare for 2021. Until now, U22 Vietnam had 4 training camps, U19 Vietnam had 3 camps, and Futsal Team had 2 camps, in which there was 1 camp in Spain. Men’s National Team also had 1 training camp after V.League and had 2 friendly matches with U22 Vietnam at Quang Ninh and Phu Thọ.
Other youth teams continue to practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre. On Jan 03, the Women’s National Team will gather to prepare for 2021. This is the effort of VFF to support the team looking forward to the World Cup 2023.
About the national competition system, thank the initiative in finding the solutions and making plans, the national activities still happened. The non-professional and professional tournaments had a suitable adjustment. Especially, this year, the U15 and U17 National Cup were organized for the first time.
Other sides such as Media, Marketing, International Relation, Grassroots – Coaching Education – Affiliated MAs, etc. also worked effectively.
In 2020, LDBDVN is honored and proud to be recognized and appreciated by FIFA, AFC, and international football organizations for the fight against the pandemic. Through community activities, football has transmitted the message of solidarity, responsibility, sharing practical thoughts and actions to overcome immediate challenges, towards a better future.
VFF President Lê Khánh Hải and Vice Presidents appreciated the effort of staff as a part of Vietnamese Football’s success in these years.
Mr. Lê Khánh Hải stated that 2021 will be a busy year of Vietnamese Football, especially national teams. However, based on the experience of 2020, under the guidance of the Executive Committee, and the support of relevant units, he believes that VFF will continue to complete the mission of 2021.
