VFF Vice Permanent President Tran Quoc Tuan: “Preparation is the key to success”
After the hard period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the international football event has returned with the good solution “Bubble Principle”. VFF Vice Permanent President Tran Quoc Tuan stated that Vietnamese football is preparing for upcoming missions and success will come from careful preparation.
The most concerns of Vietnamese football now are the World Cup Qatar 2022 3rd Qualifier, Women Asian Cup 2022 Qualifier as Women’s World Cup 2023, AFC U23 Championship 2022 Qualifier, and FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021.
Take advantage of the opportunity to improve professional qualifications for the Vietnam national team
At the meeting on Jul 14, Vice Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Hanoi People’s Committee, MOH, and relevant authorities agreed on the plan to organise the matches of Men’s national team in the World Cup 2022 3rd Qualifier in Vietnam. VFF contacted AFC as well as the shake-holders to have the best preparation for the team. “The target is both ensure the organisation and prevention of COVID-19 pandemic as the regulation of FIFA, AFC, and Vietnam’s MOH. This is an important mission”.
About the plan of the team, VFF Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan said that VFF asked VPF to continue discussing with clubs to have the plan for national professional tournaments as soon as possible. Based on the plan of the tournaments, VFF had 2 plans for the next 2 matches.
Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan argued that joining in this round of World Cup 2022 is not only an honor but also a big challenge. Therefore, the team needs to have careful preparation with the highest determination. This is an opportunity for the team to improve the professional field to get closer with the high level of region and the world, as well as a good chance for Vietnamese Football in the development.
U23 Vietnam will have an overseas training camp to prepare for the AFC U23 Championship 2022
To prepare for the AFC U23 Championship 2022, U23 Vietnam will gather in early August. Due to the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, U23 Vietnam did not have many chances to play, especially in the international matches when missing the Toulon in France. Therefore, VFF made a plan for the team very early with 2 training camps last year and the middle of this year.
Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan said that U23 Vietnam will have two more training camps to prepare for the AFC U23 Championship 2022 and VFF will try to create an overseas training camp for the team.
VFF, head coach Park Hang-seo, and function departments will continue discussing the plan to have the best preparation for the team. Preparation is the key to success.
