VFF’s President Tran Quoc Tuan meets the KNVB’s President, RBFA’s President and the DFB General Secretary
Besides the FIFA Women’s Football Convention 2023, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan meets Mrs. Pascale Van Damme – KNVB’s President, Mr. Just Spee – RBFA’s President and Mrs. Heike Ullrich – DFB General Secretary
As reported, accepting the invitation of FIFA, from August 16, VFF’s President Tran Quoc Tuan travel to Sydney (Australia) to attend the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup’s final match and attend the Women’s Football Convention organized by FIFA.
On the morning of August 18, 2023, the FIFA Women’s Football Convention 2023 was opened at the Sydney International Convention Center, before the closing day of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The convention was attended by: leaders and officials in charge of women’s football, experts, women’s football legends from more than 200 FIFA member associations.
The convention opened with a speech by Ms. Anika Wells – Australian Minister of Sport, representing the host country, and speeches by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura.
The convention took place on August 18 and 19, focusing on the following issues: The development of women’s football; The social benefits of women’s football as well as the positive impact on the role of women in football.
On this case, the President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan met and discussed with the Mrs. Pascale Van Damme – KNVB’s President, Mr. Just Spee – RBFA’s President and Mrs. Heike Ullrich – DFB General Secretary.
Leaders of three national football federations said that, despite winning the right to participate in the world’s largest women’s football tournament for the first time, the Vietnam women’s team left a deep impression on the spirit of competition.
DFB General Secretary Heike Ullrich added that she highly appreciated the performance of the Vietnam women’s team in a friendly match against the German women’s football team in June (when the Vietnam women’s team had a training camp in Germany, preparing for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup), and at the same time look forward to welcoming the VFF’s President Tran Quoc Tuan at Euro 2024, when Germany is the host of this tournament.
Regarding the direction of upcoming cooperation and development with Vietnam football, the KNVB’s President, RBFA’s President and the DFB General Secretary all expressed their interest, especially with Vietnam women’s football. The parties had practical exchanges, opening up opportunities for the development of cooperation between Vietnam football and football in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, three developed football platforms in Europe, in the coming time.
