Vietnam Banking Union crowned champions of the Northern Qualifiers of the Vietnam Workers and Employees Football Tournament
On the afternoon of May 24, in the Northern Qualifiers final of the 2026 Vietnam Workers and Employees Football Tournament, Vietnam Banking Union secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Quang Ninh Trade Union to claim the championship title.

The final match of the Northern Qualifiers of the 2026 Vietnam Workers and Employees Football Tournament between Vietnam Banking Union and Quang Ninh Trade Union unfolded as a one-sided contest in favor of the banking representative.
Throughout the 60 minutes of official play, Vietnam Banking Union completely controlled the game, showcasing a cohesive and confident style of play while leaving their opponents with no opportunity to turn the tide.
In an inspired performance, Anh Tuan stole the spotlight with a brace against Quang Ninh Trade Union’s goalkeeper.
The other two goals were scored by Anh Son and Phu Nguyen, sealing a commanding 4-0 victory.
Notably, three of Vietnam Banking Union’s four goals came from well-rehearsed set-piece situations, leaving Quang Ninh Trade Union completely helpless in defense.
The victory secured a well-deserved championship title for Vietnam Banking Union in the Northern Qualifiers of the 2026 Vietnam Workers and Employees Football Tournament.
Attending the closing ceremony of the Northern Qualifiers were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and Head of the Tournament Steering Committee; Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau, Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation and Deputy Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee; and journalist Duong Duc Da Trang, Deputy Secretary General of the Editorial Board of Tuoi Tre newspaper.
The Organizing Committee presented the runners-up award to Quang Ninh Trade Union. Earlier the same day, awards were also presented to the two joint third-place teams, Hai Phong Trade Union and PetroVietnam Trade Union.
