Vietnam Futsal National Team gathered to prepare for FIFA World Cup Lithuania 2021
On 20th July, Vietnam Futsal National Team will gather with 22 players to prepare for the FIFA World Cup Lithuania 2021.

Due to the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, the second leg of the Futsal HDBank National Championship 2021 could not hold as plan. Therefore create many difficulties in the professional field of the team. Hence, VFF decided to allow the team to reunite 2 weeks earlier than the original plan, giving the team more time to practice, learn tactical skills, and strengthen force.
To ensure the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic, on the morning of Jul 19, the team tested RT-PCR. After received the negative result with SARS-CoV-2, the team started the training period at the Physical Training Centre of Ho Chi Minh City before traveling to Spain on Aug 25.
According to the draw result, Vietnam is in Group D with Brazil, Czech Republic, and Panama. Vietnam will play Brazil in their first group stage match on Sep 13, before the match with Panama on Sep 16, and the Czech Republic on Sep 19.
