Vietnam Futsal team adjusted the 3rd training period in 2021
To prepare for FIFA World Cup 2021, the Vietnam Futsal team will gather from Jul 20 at the National Sports Training Centre Ho Chi Minh city instead of Aug 02 at Thai Son Nam Sports Centre (District 8) as the previous plan.

This adjustment has been done to ensure the professional requirement for the team while the second leg of the Futsal HDBank Championship could not organise due to the effect of COVID-19.
As the plan, the team will be trained in Vietnam before travelling to Spain on Aug 25 to join in a friendly tournament. This tournament will kick off from Aug 28 to Aug 31 with the participation of Vietnam, Japan, Guatemala, and host Spain. After this, the team will have another friendly match with Cordoba on Sep 3 before travelling to Lithuania for the last preparation of FIFA Futsal World Cup 2021. If the plan will not change, the team will have a friendly match with the Maroc team on Sep 6 before officially joining in the final competition.
This is the 3rd gathering period in 2021 of the Vietnam Futsal team. Before that, in May 2021, the team had an outstanding performance while defeat Lebanon in the play-off to get the chance to join in the FIFA World Cup 2021.
As the draw result, the Vietnam team will have the first match with Brazil on Sep 13. The next match with Panama on Sep 16 and against the Czech Republic on Sep 19.
To ensure the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic, the team will do the RT-PCR test before move into the National Sports Training Centre Ho Chi Minh city and follow the guidance of MOH on the pandemic prevention. All team members have also completed 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine under the Government’s priority program for sports teams participating in international tournaments.
