Vietnam Futsal Team joins official activities at the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship
Finishing the training trip with 3 quality friendly matches, Vietnam futsal team has officially entered the common rhythm of the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship, and also the 2022 AFC Futsal Cup Qualifier
From now on, head coach Pham Minh Giang and members will work under the principle of a closed bubble, ensuring safety against the Covid-19 epidemic as prescribed by the organizers of the host country Thailand.
Yesterday morning, Vietnam futsal team also had a familiarization session with the official training ground for the tournament at Show DC mall. Coach Pham Minh Giang spends a lot of time on the contents of training finishing skills and playing independently 1-1 for players. In the afternoon, the whole team had a recovery and relaxation session at the hotel swimming pool.
The spirit of all the players is quite relaxed and seriously training for the most difficult match in the group stage against Myanmar. In the next 2 days, head coach Pham Minh Giang and the coaching assistants will have a professional meeting and make choices for the shortlist of 14 players competing in the tournament. The deadline to close the list will be 6 hours before the first match.
On April 2, the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship will officially kick off with the first round of Group A: Malaysia – Cambodia (15:00), the host Thailand – Brunei (17:00).
The opening match of the Vietnam futsal team against the Myanmar team will take place at 11 a.m on April 4. With a youthful and ambitious squad, Myanmar is considered a direct competitor to the top of the table with head coach Pham Minh Giang’s team.
