Vietnam National team practiced hard and proactively plans for the match against Thailand
The “knock-out” character of the semi-final forces the Vietnam team to careful in the preparation. Therefore, besides the technical issues, head coach Park Hang-seo especially cares about the solutions to refresh and gain energy for the players.
In the morning of Dec 21, the team spent time discussing and analyze about the upcoming match against Thailand. In the afternoon, the players continued to do the recovery practicing under the guidance of fitness coach Park Sung-guyn, before joining in the tactics lesson of head coach Park Hang-seo.
Mr. Park also remained the team of the key of regulation to help them proactively read and control the game.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this season, AFF Suzuki Cup takes place in a host country – Singapore. Hence, the regulation also has some adjustments to adapt to the real circumstance. In the semi-final and final, although the first leg and second leg will still be played, the away goal rule will not apply. In the second leg, If the winner is not determined after the time, the two teams will play 2 extra periods of 15 minutes each. If there is still no clear result, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout under the order of the Regulation of the Game.
The semi-final first leg between Vietnam and Thailand team will kick off at 7:30 p.m on Dec 23 at Singapore National. The second leg will be 3 days later.
