Vietnam national team will try the best to defend the championship
As the evaluation of VFF Permance Vice Tran Quoc Tuan, even facing many difficulties while competing in two tournaments in the same time included World Cup 2022 Asian Qualifier and AFF Suzuki Cup 2020, Vietnam national team still try the best to defend the championship in region.

Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan said that: “The draw result is interesting. In group B, we will face the teams who were the opponents in World Cup Asian 2nd Qualifiers are Malaysia and Indonesia. On the other hand, Cambodia and Laos are the teams that have good development. We hope that with the concentrate and determine, we will try to defend thís championship”.
According to the circumstance of COVID-19 pandemic in ASEAN countries, AFF discussed and decided to organise the competition in one venue. “This will support the pandemic prevention. It means that the teams will have to play without the cheers of the home fan. However, this format is for all participants. The host also has to effort to control the bubble principle for 10 teams in 1 month. AFF is working with some associations to have the commitment to organise the competition. The final decision will be announced after the meeting at the end of this month”. Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan shared.
