Vietnam Team backed to training, Hoang Duc appreciates the strength of Malaysia
On the morning of December 23, Vietnam Team returned to the training ground to prepare for the match against Malaysia in the second round of Group B – AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022.

Just coming back after the match against Laos, head coach Park Hang-seo has prioritized the point to help the players have the best physical recovery. At the training session this morning, Quang Hai and Hong Duy did not appear on the training ground. These players are suffering from muscle overload and are staying at the hotel to practice recovery under the guidance of Dr. Choi Ju Young.
Meanwhile, central defender Bui Tien Dung also joined the team after missing the match against Laos due to Covid-19.
Sharing with the media before the training session, midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc said: “Quang Hai had a slight pain and had to leave the field early in the match against Laos. Today’s training session he couldn’t attend and had to do light training at the hotel. However, Quang Hai will soon return to the match against Malaysia.”
When asked about Vietnam’s upcoming opponent, Malaysia, Hoang Duc said: “The match against Malaysia is at home, we are determined to win for the fans. I highly appreciate the Malaysia team. We met Malaysia many times before and always respected each other. I think the Vietnam team will have to be careful and try to have a good match against Malaysia. In the Malaysia vs Myanmar match, I went through a few situations and saw that they had a lot of new and young players promoted from the last SEA Games. They have many dangerous factors and naturalize players. Currently, the Vietnam team has just returned, in the next few days we will watch Malaysia video and analyze the opponent.”
