Vietnam through to FIFA Futsal World Cup knockout stage after draw with Czech Republic
Vietnam played to a 1-1 draw with Czech Republic in their final Group D match of the FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021 at the Kaunas Arena on Sunday.

Both teams went into the match tied on three points. Vietnam also had their fair share of chances but Nguyen Minh Tri and Vu Duc Tung both wasted opportunities as the score remained 0-0 going into the break.
It was the same scenario after the restart with the Czechs dictating play but Vietnam broke the deadlock against the run of play in the 35th minute through Chau Doan Phat, who finished off an excellent team move.
The lead, however, lasted mere seconds as Czech Republic equalised through Lukas Resetar’s strike.

Vietnam will play either Russia Football Union or Kazakhstan in the Round of 16.
