Vietnam U19 futsal team depart for the 2025 ASEAN U19 Futsal Championship
On the afternoon of December 20, the Vietnam U19 futsal team departed for Thailand to compete in the 2025 ASEAN U19 Futsal Championship.
To prepare for the tournament, the team assembled for a training camp starting on November 16 at Chanh Hung Futsal Hall (Ho Chi Minh City), with 20 players called up under the guidance of head coach Nguyen Anh Khoa. After more than a month of training, the coaching staff finalised the list of 14 players in accordance with the competition regulations prior to departure.
According to the draw, at the 2025 ASEAN U19 Futsal Championship, the Vietnam U19 futsal team has been placed in Group A alongside Thailand and Brunei. Group B consists of Indonesia, Myanmar and Malaysia. The tournament will take place from December 23 to 29, 2025, at Nonthaburi Provincial Indoor Stadium, with a single round-robin format in each group. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals to compete for places in the final.
