The V-League 2008 will include 14 teams including Binh Duong, Nam Dinh, Long An, Thanh Hoa, Hanoi ACB, Hoa Phat Hanoi, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Da Nang, Song Lam-Nghe An, Saigon Port, The Cong and Haiphong. The tournament will be held from January 6 to August 24 with home and away legs. Each team can register five foreign players but only three are allowed to play any time.
The federation will sell the television rights during the tournament.
Based on the funding from PetroVietnam, the federation will present VND 700 million to the champions, VND 350 million to the runners-up and VND 150 million to the third-place team.
In addition, each team will contribute VND 276 million for the running of the tournament.
