The European Football Confederation has agreed to sell broadcasting rights of all football matches at Euro 2008 to two Asian partners, Media Nusantara Citra (MNC) of Indonesia and Vietnam Television (VTV), the national TV channel of Vietnam.
All 31 matches of the tournament in Austria and Switzerland next summer as well as daily reports about the event will be broadcast on two systems of VTV, including the national free channels (VTV2 and VTV3) and paid cable (VCTV3).
VTV will also broadcast other news and programs related to this tournament before it opens in June 2008.
SVTV is the national television agency in Vietnam. They are very experienced and have successfully held great sport events,⬝ said Marketing Executive Manager of UEFA Philippe Le Flock”h.
The contract between VTV and the European Football Confederation will be conducted by the only representative of UEFA, SPORTFIVE and VTV.
