Football: Ha Tay win women"s championship

Ha Tay won the women”s football championship, which ended on April 14 after a 4-0 victory over bottomed Thai Nguyen. Elsewhere, Hanoi drew Ha Nam 1-1 tanking secand. 

Goals by Minh Nguyen in the 20^th and 32^nd minutes, Thuy Linh in the 54th and 55th minutes earned Ha Tay the first title of the national women”s championship.

Champions Ho Chi Minh City finished fourth after a 4-1 victory over Cua Ong Coal with goals by Kim Chi, Kim Hong, Hong Nga and Thu Ha. Cua Ong Coal”s consolation goal went to Hoai Thu. Ho Chi Minh City had a total of 14 points like Ha Nam but led on head-to-head results.

In another match, Hanoi drew 1-1 with Ha Nam. Vu Huyen Linh and Hai Anh were scorers for Hanoi and Ha Nam, respectively.

Ha Tay were awarded VND 80 million as bonus; Hanoi, VND 60 million and Cua Ong Coal, VND 30 million.

Ho Chi Minh City won the Fair Play prize.

Le Hoai Thu from Cua Ong Coal was voted as the Player of the Tournament, awarded VND 5 million.

Captain Kim Chi from Ho Chi Minh City was top scorer, awarded VND 3 million.

Do Thu Trang from Ha Tay was best goalkeeper, awarded VND 3 million.
