Winning 3-0 over India team, Vietnam lifts to the championship of Hung Thinh International Friendly Tournament 2022

As the previous sharing, head coach Park Hang Seo has launched the formation that is considered the best at the moment to confront India. With the exception of Ho Tan Tai, the Korean coach made 10 changes compared to the Singapore-winning formation. With familiar players such as Van Hau, Hung Dung, Quang Hai, Van Duc, Tien Linh, Cong Phuong in the time, Vietnam Team entered the match excitedly against India.

With the mobility of midfield, the home team controlled the ball well, creating an overwhelming game in the first minutes. And after only 10 minutes, Vietnam Team had the first goal. From Cong Phuong’s corner kick, goalkeeper Singh Sandhu pushed the ball at the position Van Duc chose in the penalty area. The midfielder of SLNA launched a left-footed shot to open the score 1-0 for the home team.

After losing the first goal, India lost the game. The more Vietnam team plays, the more confident it is and shows a more coherent playing style. In the 22nd minute, Cong Phuong escaped from a tight corner and made a dangerous shot to India’s goal after Van Duc’s pass.

It was not until the 26th minute that India had the first dangerous opportunity towards Nguyen Manh’s goal after Kuruniyan’s shot in the penalty area. After this ball, the away team played more confidently. They constantly pressed, causing Nguyen Manh’s goal to wobble. India in turn had 2 delicious opportunities but failed to take advantage. Notably, the beautiful header of Chhetri in the 45th minute.

In the second half, head coach Park Hang Seo made two changes. Van Toan and Thanh Chung replaced Thanh Binh and Cong Phuong. These adjustments of Mr. Park immediately took effect. The presence of Van Toan on the attack makes the play of Vietnam Team more prosperous. With his speed and technique, Van Toan tormented the Indian defense.

In the 49th minute, defender Anwar Ali missed the ball, creating conditions for Van Toan to speed up and defeat goalkeeper Sandhu from a face-to-face position, doubling the difference for Vietnam. Having 2 goals in the lead, head coach Park Hang Seo’s team was even more excited. They constantly created waves of braking that made India’s golf bridge wobble.

In the 71st minute, Viet Anh crossed the ball from the right wing, causing the Indian defender to break the ball in the right position of Van Quyet. After one tought, Van Quyet hit the net to raise the score to 3-0. This is the second consecutive goal of this veteran striker for Vietnam in the international friendly tournament – Hung Thinh 2022.

In the final minutes of the match, India pushed up the speed to search for an honorable goal. However, the Vietnamese defense played firmly, successfully preserving the score 3-0. With this victory, Vietnam Team won the championship convincingly with 6 points, scored 7 goals and did not concede a goal after 2 matches at the tournament.
