Concluding ceremony of AFC Vision Asia team’s assessment visit to Hanoi

Speaking at the concluding ceremony of AFC Vision Asia team’s assessment visit to Hanoi, Tu acknowledged the recommendations of the AFC team during their three-day visit.

He believes in the capability of Vision Vietnam–Project Hanoi to deliver success for football in Hanoi. “It is a long-term project and it needs patience and enthusiasm. The most important thing is to have the right direction and the plan to implement and achieve them,” he said.

“I hope that the Vision Asia team will closely work with the Hanoi FA to chalk out the best plan for the football development in the capital city.”

AFC Vision Asia project director Brendan Menton said it was duty of his team to find the best solutions for comprehensive development for football in Hanoi.

“Vision Asia is a long-term plan. We can not do everything in one day or one year, because the main target is to build the basis for football development into the future. The project can last five or 10 years depending on its needs. However, with the proper plan and timeline, the project will be successful,” he said.

The next stage in the project is for the AFC Vision Vietnam team to prepare their report on football inHanoi and draft the development plan. This will be followed by a planning workshop, scheduled to be held in September at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur.
