Youth football development seminar for professional football clubs
On Dec 13, Vietnam Football Federation organised the youth football development seminar for professional football clubs with the participation of 13 premier clubs.
The delegation included: Mr. Tran Anh Tu – VFF Standing Committee, member of Club licensing Committee, Chairman of Board of VPF; Mr. Le Dang Tung – Chairman of Club licensing Committee; Assoc. Prof. Pham Ngoc Vien – a member of Club licensing Committee; Mrs. Nguyen Thi My Dung – a member of Club licensing Committee; Mr. Le Hoai Anh – VFF General Secretary; Mr. Yusuke Adachi – VFF Technical Director; Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Ha – VFF Deputy GS, Head of Club licensing department; Mr. Nguyen Minh Ngoc – CEO of VPF.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Tran Anh Tu said: “Recently, Vietnam professional football was appreciated by AFC while more and more Vietnamese representatives participant in AFC club tournaments. 2022, Vietnam has 2 slots to join in the AFC Cup and 1 slot to join in the AFC Champion League which is the most valuable clubs tournament in the region and the venue of all developed football countries in Asia. 2023, Vietnam will have 2 slots to join in AFC Champion League.
This is an honor of Vietnamese football as well as the recognition of AFC for the development of professional football in Vietnam, the development of premier clubs in Vietnam. However, this is also a challenge for Vietnamese football towards sustainable professional football. To reach that target, one of the key matters that FIFA, AFC, and VFF are concerned about is the club’s licensing.
Through 8 seasons applied the clubs licensing criteria, VFF appreciated the co-operation of premier clubs to complete the licensing criticals to adapt with the requires of AFC toward a comprehensive professional football”.
2021, AFC issued the Club Licensing Regulation 2nd Amendment after 11 years applied. The new regulation has many adjustments, in which AFC focused on planning and implementing the “Youth football development program” of clubs.
The youth football development seminar for professional football clubs was organised to share the experience and provide guidelines for the youth football development program for clubs. In the seminar, the clubs could gain knowledge and experience from the valuable presentations of Assoc. Prof. Pham Ngoc Vien and Technical Director Adachia Yusuke.
After 3 hours of discussion, the clubs appreciated the qualification of the seminar and argued that the seminar is the opportunity for clubs to deeply understand the licensing criteria to plan the youth football development program.
