The U16 Vietnam girl’s team went to Türkiye to participant a friendly tournament
On the afternoon of April 9, the U16 Vietnam girl’s team, under the guidance of head coach Akira Ijiri, arrived in Istanbul (Türkiye), to prepare for the international friendly football tournament organized by UEFA.
Coach Akira Ijiri and the team’s journey departs from Noi Bai International Airport at 1:30 a.m. on April 9, transit in Dubai before landing in the capital Istanbul at 6:25 p.m. on April 9 (Vietnam time).
Despite the relatively long journey, thanks to the convenience and speed of checking in at the airport, the team members still maintain a comfortable state of mind and good health to enter the upcoming matches.
During the tournament, the U16 Vietnam girl’s team was arranged by the organizing committee to stay at the Football Center of the Turkish Football Federation. After settling in, the coaching staff let the players walk on the field on the center’s campus to do light exercise after a long travel time as well as adapt to the weather here.
The tournament will start from April 11. U16 Vietnam girl’s team will meet Botswana’s U16 women in the first match, before competing with the U16 USA on April 13 and U16 Türkiye on April 16. Teams will compete in a round-robin, scoring points. According to the group stage results, on the final day (April 18), teams will compete with teams with the same ranking in the remaining group to determine the final ranking.
