Vietnam women’s national team ranked 37th in the world in the latest FIFA rankings
According to the latest FIFA rankings released on April 21, the Vietnam women’s national team is ranked 37th in the world with 1,593.71 points. This ranking is based on their performances during SEA Games 33 (December 14, 2025) and the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 final tournament held in March 2026.
In Asia, the Vietnam women’s national team ranks 6th, behind Japan (5th), DPR Korea (11th), Australia (15th), China (16th), and Korea Republic (19th), while remaining ahead of the Philippines (39th), Chinese Taipei (40th), and Thailand (50th).
In Southeast Asia, despite dropping one place in the FIFA rankings, the Vietnam women’s national team continues to hold the top position in the region, followed by the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, and Timor-Leste.
Globally, Spain and the United States continue to hold the top two positions in the rankings. England has moved up to 3rd, Germany has dropped to 4th, while Japan has climbed to 5th. The remaining places in the top 10 are occupied by Brazil, France, Sweden, Canada, and the Netherlands.
The women’s rankings also apply a real-time update mechanism similar to the men’s rankings. Accordingly, teams’ positions may change during matches as they are being played, with the official rankings confirmed once all matches in a FIFA Days/FIFA Series window are completed.
The next FIFA ranking update is scheduled to be released on June 16, 2026.
