Coordinator workshop held ahead of the National Women’s Football League – Thai Son Bac Cup 2026
On the morning of 11 June, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) organised a coordinator workshop for clubs participating in the National Women’s Football League – Thai Son Bac Cup 2026. The programme serves as an important preparatory activity for the first season to be conducted under a league format (home-and-away), marking a new milestone in the development of women’s football in Vietnam on its path towards professionalism.
The workshop was conducted online with the participation of representatives from the competition, communications, sponsorship, medical and security departments, as well as the clubs competing in the tournament. The training focused on match operations, coordination among stakeholders, media procedures, security and medical arrangements, and the operational requirements of the competition under the new format.
Notably, a representative from the FIFA Southeast Asia Office joined discussions with members of the Organising Committee and participating clubs regarding several FIFA women’s football development programmes. Among them, the VAHINE URA project was introduced with the objective of enhancing player performance and achievements through strategic planning, the application of advanced training methodologies, and improved coordination and information-sharing among all stakeholders.
In addition, the FIFA Guardians programme was introduced to raise awareness of safeguarding in football. The programme supports football organisations in developing and implementing comprehensive safeguarding strategies, helping to create a safe, positive and respectful environment for everyone involved in the game.
FIFA emphasised the message that: “Everyone in football has a responsibility to help create and maintain a safe environment, ensuring that all activities are organised and conducted as safely as possible.”
