At Ngai Giao Stadium, persistent rain before and during the match affected the quality of play to some extent. Nevertheless, Thai Nguyen T&T started on the front foot and took the lead as early as the ninth minute. Following an attacking move by the visitors, Bich Thuy found the net to put Thai Nguyen T&T 1-0 ahead.

After conceding, Ho Chi Minh City I pushed forward in search of an equaliser. In the 17th minute, Thuy Trang came close with a dangerous effort but was unable to convert. The hosts’ persistence paid off in the 28th minute when Phan Thi Trang won possession in midfield, accelerated past the opposition defence and calmly finished one-on-one with the goalkeeper to level the score at 1-1.

Both teams continued to produce a balanced contest for the remainder of the first half. After the break, Ho Chi Minh City I increased the pressure and created a series of chances in front of the Thai Nguyen T&T goal, but their finishing lacked accuracy at crucial moments.

Meanwhile, Thai Nguyen T&T were equally determined to secure all three points in their bid to challenge Hanoi I for second place in the standings. In the 80th minute, following a swift attacking move, Bich Thuy delivered a cross for Thu Thin to rise above the defence and head home, sealing a 2-1 victory for the visitors.

With this result, Thai Nguyen T&T moved temporarily above Hanoi I into second place in the standings, keeping their challenge near the top of the table alive.

Attending the awards ceremony were VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports Deputy Director Nguyen Nam Nhan, and Thai Son Bac Company General Director Tran Anh Minh.

This marks Ho Chi Minh City I’s eighth consecutive title in the National Women’s Football Championship and their 15th overall championship in the competition, further cementing the club’s leading position in Ho Chi Minh City women’s football.

In the simultaneous match at Cua Ong Stadium, Than KSVN dominated Hanoi II. The mining-region side scored five goals in the first half before adding two more after the break to seal a convincing 7-0 victory.

This result brings Hanoi II’s 2026 season to a close, with the team failing to record a win in 12 matches, including two draws.

In the earliest match of the day at Ha Nam Stadium, the home side secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Ho Chi Minh City II. Phong Phu Ha Nam took the lead in the fifth minute before doubling their advantage in the 31st minute.

After the break, Phong Phu Ha Nam continued to control the game and added two more goals to seal a 4-0 win. The victory ensured a positive result for the team in this round, while Ho Chi Minh City II were unable to spring a surprise against their higher-rated opponents.
