Both sides came into the tie after registering wins against Palestine and Northern Mariana Islands, with Kyrgyz Republic proving tough opponents as they held Vietnam until the 25th minute.
Do Thi Ha Vi broke deep into the box from the left before finding the unmarked Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang, who applied a simple finish from close range.
Vietnam doubled their advantage in the 55th minute when Do Thi Ha Vi met Nguyen Quynh Lam’s cross with a looping header to seal the victory and top spot in Group D.
