V-Women’s League – Thai Son Bac Cup 2026: Champions to qualify for the AFC Women’s Club Championship 2027/28
On the morning of 20 May, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the announcement ceremony for the main sponsor and the fixture draw for the V-Women’s League – Thai Son Bac Cup 2026 took place. The tournament is jointly organised by the VFF and Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Co., Ltd.
Attending the ceremony were Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen – Deputy Director General of the Viet Nam Sports Administration; Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu – Vice President of the VFF; Mr. Do Van Nhat – VFF Executive Committee Member and Head of the Women’s Football Department; Mr. Nguyen Van Phu – VFF General Secretary; Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Trang – Deputy General Secretary of the VFF; members of the Organising Committee; and representatives of the participating clubs.
The year 2026 marks the 15th consecutive year that Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Co., Ltd. has accompanied the National Women’s Football Championship as the main sponsor. The sponsor’s long-standing support continues to demonstrate its commitment, social responsibility and meaningful contributions to the development of women’s football in Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu – General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), stated that throughout the past 15 years, Thai Son Bac has not only been the sponsor of the National Women’s Football Championship but also a partner that has consistently shared the VFF’s vision of developing women’s football in a stable, professional and sustainable manner. The company’s long-term support has played an important role in maintaining and improving the quality of the competition, creating further motivation for clubs to invest, while also opening up more opportunities for female players to compete and develop.
Representing the sponsor, Mr. Tran Anh Minh – General Director of Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Co., Ltd., emphasised that the National Women’s Football Championship is not only an important professional platform for outstanding female players, but also plays a significant role in identifying, developing and supplying talent for the national teams. Many players who have grown through the competition have gone on to make important contributions to the success of Vietnamese women’s football at regional and continental tournaments.
The National Women’s Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup 2026 features seven participating clubs: Hanoi I Women FC, Hanoi II Women FC, Thai Nguyen T&T Women FC, Than KSVN Women FC, Phong Phu Ha Nam Women FC, Ho Chi Minh City I Women FC and Ho Chi Minh City II Women FC. The teams will compete in a double round-robin home-and-away format to determine the final standings. The first leg will take place from 20 June to 19 July 2026, while the second leg is scheduled from 23 July to 21 August 2026.
The champions will receive the trophy, gold medals and prize money of VND 500 million, while also earning the right to represent Vietnam at the AFC Women’s Club Championship 2027/28.
According to the draw results, the opening fixtures on 20 June will see Thai Nguyen T&T Women FC face Phong Phu Ha Nam Women FC, defending champions Ho Chi Minh City I Women FC take on Ho Chi Minh City II Women FC, and Hanoi I Women FC meet Hanoi II Women FC.
