Sahako and Thái Sơn Nam HCMC draw, Thái Sơn Bắc Win First-Leg
A 1-1 draw between Sahako and Thái Sơn Nam HCMC in the final match of Matchday 7 on June 10 brought the first half of the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship to a close. The result enabled Thái Sơn Bắc to maintain their position at the top of the standings and secure the first-leg title, while the race for the championship remains wide open and highly competitive.
Determined to secure all three points and keep pace with Thái Sơn Bắc in the title race, both teams produced an entertaining and tactically intense contest. Thái Sơn Nam HCMC broke the deadlock in the 10th minute when foreign player Italo Henrique (Bob) finished clinically to give the defending champions a 1-0 lead.
Following the setback, Sahako pushed forward in search of an equalizer, committing more players to attack and applying sustained pressure on the opposition’s goal.
The efforts of the “Three-Legged Crows” were eventually rewarded in the 36th minute when Huỳnh Mi Woen found the back of the net to level the score at 1-1. In the remaining minutes, both sides created several promising opportunities, but neither was able to convert them into a winner. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Earlier in the day, Trẻ TP.HCM delivered an impressive performance to claim their first victory of the season, defeating Luxury Hạ Long 9-2.
Nguyễn Chí Bảo opened the scoring for Trẻ TP.HCM in the sixth minute before Trương Thanh Phong, Nguyễn Bá Thanh Tú, Trương Minh Tuấn, Nguyễn Bá Mạnh and Nguyễn Thọ Minh Huy all got on the scoresheet, helping the home side establish complete control of the match. For Luxury Hạ Long, Đỗ Việt Tân scored both goals for the Quảng Ninh-based club.
The emphatic victory earned Trẻ TP.HCM their first three points of the season, while Luxury Hạ Long remained at the bottom of the standings after seven rounds.
At the conclusion of the first half of the season, Thái Sơn Bắc sit atop the table with 19 points from seven matches. Sahako are second with 16 points, followed by Thái Sơn Nam HCMC on 15 points and Sài Gòn Titans on 13 points. With only a small gap separating the leading teams, the title race is expected to remain highly competitive when the second half of the season gets underway on June 21.
