The launch ceremony of the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship
On May 8, 2026, the Announcement Ceremony for the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship took place at the headquarters of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV). The event marked the 10th consecutive year that the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), in cooperation with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), has organized the national futsal competition system, with the continued support of the Diamond Sponsor – Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank).

Following the success of the 2025 season, the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship will be held in two major cities, Hanoi (Cau Giay Gymnasium) and Ho Chi Minh City (Chanh Hung Ward Futsal Arena), under a home-and-away format.
The tournament will take place from May 9 to July 25, featuring eight participating teams: Hanoi, Luxury Ha Long, Sahako, Tre TP.HCM, Sai Gon Titans, Thai Son Bac, Thai Son Nam TP.HCM, and Tan Hiep Hung TP.HCM. Each club is allowed to register one foreign player and one overseas Vietnamese player.
The competition will continue to follow a double round-robin format (home and away) to determine the final standings. Specifically:
- The first leg consists of 7 rounds, taking place from May 9 to June 10. After the first leg, the tournament will pause temporarily to allow teams to adjust their squads before entering the second leg.
- The second leg also consists of 7 rounds, scheduled from June 21 to July 25.
Mr. Vu Hai Quang, Deputy Director General of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship, emphasized:
“The 2026 season marks a special milestone as it celebrates 10 years of cooperation between the Voice of Vietnam and the Vietnam Football Federation, together with the support of our Diamond Sponsor, HDBank, in organizing and developing the national futsal competition system. Throughout the past decade, this has not only been a collaboration in organizing an official competition within the Vietnamese football system, but also a persistent journey in laying the foundation for the development of Vietnamese futsal.
The 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship takes place at a time when Vietnamese futsal has achieved many outstanding successes on the international stage. In 2025, the national team made a remarkable leap of six places, rising from outside the Top 20 to officially join the group of the world’s strongest futsal teams. This is the highest ranking ever achieved by Vietnam’s men’s futsal team since FIFA introduced the world futsal rankings. At the 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup, Vietnam successfully advanced through the qualifiers and secured a place in the quarter-finals, affirming the team’s significant professional progress.”
Representing the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu shared that the 2026 season holds special significance as it marks the 10th consecutive year of cooperation between the VFF and the Voice of Vietnam in organizing the competition, as well as the 10th year of HDBank accompanying the tournament.
This milestone is not only a testament to longevity but also reflects HDBank’s commitment, social responsibility, and long-term dedication to the development of Vietnamese futsal. In the context where futsal still faces many challenges in terms of resources, HDBank’s steadfast support has played a highly important role in maintaining the tournament’s stability, professionalism, and overall quality.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship also introduced a photo exhibition space themed “10 Years of VOV Accompanying Vietnamese Futsal” on the ground floor of the Voice of Vietnam headquarters.
Designed with an open and modern concept, harmoniously combining the spirit of journalism and media with visual art, the exhibition space became one of the highlights among this season’s side activities. Each photograph and display area presents an authentic and vivid snapshot, recreating the proud development journey of Vietnamese futsal over the past decade, closely associated with the dedicated support of VOV.
The photo exhibition space features a variety of remarkable themes, including memorable moments from national, regional, and international futsal tournaments with the participation and support of VOV; outstanding media milestones in promoting and spreading the image of Vietnamese futsal to the wider public; as well as cooperative activities between VOV and its partners in building and developing the increasingly professional HDBank-branded futsal competition system.
In 2026, the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship will be broadcast on television channels including SCTV22 Ssport1; on radio via VOV1, VOV2, and VOV Traffic; and livestreamed on VOV.vn, VTCNews, the VOVLive digital content system, VOVFutsal, as well as the digital platforms of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
This marks the 10th consecutive year that HDBank has accompanied the country’s top futsal competitions, including the HDBank National Futsal Championship, as the Diamond Sponsor. The 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship will feature the following awards:
– Champions: Trophy, gold medals, honorary title board, and a cash prize of VND 500,000,000
– Runners-up: Silver medals, honorary title board, and a cash prize of VND 200,000,000
– Third place: Bronze medals, honorary title board, and a cash prize of VND 100,000,000
(Each medal set consists of 30 medals)
– Fair Play Award: Honorary title board and a cash prize of VND 40,000,000
– Best Player of the Tournament: Honorary title board and a cash prize of VND 15,000,000
– Top Scorer Award: Honorary title board and a cash prize of VND 15,000,000
(In the event that two or more players finish with the same highest number of goals, the prize money will be equally shared among them.)
– Best Goalkeeper Award: Honorary title board and a cash prize of VND 15,000,000
– Best Refereeing Team Award: VND 20,000,000 for outstanding performance of duties.
